It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

Nikil Saval won the in-person vote in a landslide, with a resounding 68% of the vote. With 100% of divisions in the district reporting and 15,196 votes currently counted, ahead by 4,835 votes.

“There are still thousands of votes to count and we intend to fight for each and every one. In this moment of crisis, where our government has declared war on its people with tear gas: Philadelphians are saying enough is enough. Enough corporate greed, enough racism, enough police violence, enough divestment from our schools, our homes and our families. This district is increasingly diverse and deserves to be represented by someone who will fight for its constituents—for a homes guarantee, for a Green New Deal, for justice for all,” said Saval.

Saval’s campaign raised more than $370,000 from more than 5,700 individual contributions—with 97% coming from small donors. The average contribution is $60. The campaign has made 210,000 phone calls, sent 163,000 text messages, and knocked on 30,000 doors. Campaign volunteers worked every single polling site, holding conversations with voters about the issues impacting their lives.

Saval’s campaign was endorsed by over 30 community organizations, labor unions and local and national organizations and political leaders: U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, State Representative Elizabeth Fiedler, City Councilmembers Kendra Brooks and Isaiah Thomas, Sheriff Rochelle Bilal, District 1199C, UNITE HERE Locals 274, 634, and 54, IBEW Local 98, the Guardian Civic League, Teamsters BMWED-IBT, Laborers District Council of Metropolitan Philadelphia and Vicinity, Reclaim Philadelphia, Our Revolution, One Pennsylvania, Neighborhood Networks, Second Generation, Sunrise Philadelphia, 350 Philadelphia, Food and Watch Action Pennsylvania, Democratic Socialists of America, People’s Action, Data for Progress, the Temple Association of University Professionals, the Faculty and Staff Federation of the Community College of Philadelphia, the First Democratic Ward, the Second Democratic Ward, Pennsylvania Stands Up, Philly SocFem, and LILAC.
